Behind Trollhusky.

From the beginning

Every dog comes with a story, a pace of their own and a place within the team.

Daily life

The team is built between the races.

Training has to make room for everyone, from experienced lead dogs to young dogs in their first season. That means adjusted workloads, time to build positive experiences and patience when recovery does not follow a straight line.

The dogs have different strengths and entirely different personalities. Some rest whenever they get the chance; others want to be at the centre of everything. For Lene, that is what makes the work personal: getting to know each dog and giving them what they need to find their place.

Training and racing

Trust is what moves a team forward.

By the time Trollhusky reaches a starting line, the long work has already been done. Lene follows the team along the trail while the dogs ahead of her draw on the experience, drive and cooperation they have built throughout the season.

The team includes experienced leaders such as Kamik, Balto and Alice, while younger dogs continue to take new steps in lead. The races show what the team can do together, but they are only one part of the story.

In 2026, Lene and Trollhusky completed Mush Synnfjell 200, Gruveløpet 148 km and Femund 450.

Canine treatment

Treatment with the whole dog in mind.

Lene is a student at the Nordic Horse and Dog Therapy School, training as a canine massage therapist with further study in joint adjustment and mobilisation. This professional direction is closely connected to life at Trollhusky, where function, movement and attention to each individual dog are already part of daily life.

As a student practitioner, she now offers individually tailored treatment with massage and mobilisation. The treatment page explains the consultation, student-practice prices and how to book.
